Sabra Richardson
Bpeace Board director since 2008, Chair Rwanda Team
President, Simply Budgeting

"Getting sound business information and advice out to women who will pass it on within their village and across to others and down through the generations is the manner in which information travels in the countries that Bpeace serves.  It is that willingness to understand and respect the cultures is where true PEACE begins. What a great example of how peace works."

Sabra describes her financial/business management consulting firm Simply Budgeting Inc. as the "missing link" in the financial/business services sector. Simply Budgeting is a New York City Certified Women/Minority Business Enterprise.

A former Assistant Vice-President/Branch Manager at Chase Manhattan Bank where she was responsible for a $32 million customer base, she also was a sales executive with two Fortune 500 Companies, American Home Foods and Bristol Myers. Before entering the private sector, Sabra taught in the New York City school system.

Her desire to influence and create a financial institution providing micro-credit loans that support self-employment has taken her to the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh, in addition to fueling her decision to leave the traditional banking industry to continue her support of this concept. Sabra and her company were listed at the Global Micro-Credit Summit held in Washington, D.C. and is presently on the Summit’s list as an Advocate for the elimination of poverty in the world by the year 2015.
